Student Profile: Carley Keefe

Carley Keefe, a sophomore computer-science major from Castleton, N.Y., chose to study computers because she enjoys a good puzzle, and she compares solving programming issues to figuring out the pieces of a puzzle. She took a computer-science course in college and was drawn to Marist because of the ties the school has to IBM.

“I figured the school would give me the skills I needed to be marketable in the field,” she says.

“Knowing it had a partnership with IBM, and the reputation IBM has of being a large, successful corporation, I was hoping it would provide me with an opportunity to become familiar with the company.”
