IT-Ready is an initiative of the Creating IT Futures Foundation, the philanthropic arm of CompTIA, a national IT trade association headquartered in Downers Grove, Ill. Creating IT Futures specifically targets workers dislocated from other industries, returned military personnel, women, and minorities — all in an effort to invigorate and diversify the IT industry.
Training slots are limited to 25. This is not a program for individuals who already have significant IT experience, certifications, andtraining. A high school diploma or GED is required.
The online application form and more information can be found at www.ITready.com. Deadline for applications is August 31, 2012.
