Business Partner Stories

Business partners put the ‘application’ in AS/400

Share |

The AS/400* server was created in 1988 as a business application system. At its inception, it was supported by a community of business partners, and their applications were engaged to support the platform’s customers. Many of these business partners remain active on the platform today. Rolling out as one of the most reliable, flexible and secure systems in the midrange business marketplace, users of the Power Systems* server running IBM i today would describe the platform exactly the same way.

In the subsequent articles, IBM Systems Magazine, Power Systems edition gives the IBM i community of business partners an opportunity to share stories about their companies’ contributions to the development and success of the platform. Learn how and when these businesses got started and gain a new perspective on these visible players in the IBM i space in the articles below.
