Talk Google With Your IBM i Using GreenJab from BVS/Tools

Being able to communicate with devices such as smart phones, tablets and PCs is becoming a requirement in these days of 24/7 connectivity.

Now you have the ability to let your IBM i (System i, iSeries, As/400) communicate with any device running a Jabber/XMPP IM client, such as Google Talk, using GreenJab from BVS/Tools, Inc.

GreenJab allows you to communicate both to and from your IBM i using a IM client.  This means your IBM i can alert you of critical situations, jobs messages (MSGW) waiting for a reply, completed jobs, or any other information you need to retrieve without logging on to your system.

You can also set up processes so that when you send an IM message to your IBM i you can start  jobs, start server processes, send a user a message, or pretty much anything you can think of.

GreenJab conists of a set of easy to use ILE fuctions that allow IM communcation using the Jabber/XMPP standard used by many IM clients today, the most popular being Google Talk.

GreenJab is 100% IBM i native requiring no other hardware or software to function.

Pricing for GreenJab has yet to be determined, and BVS/Tools is actively seeking beta testers for this new exciting product.

To download a trial, see sample applications using GreenJab, and to find more information and documentation visit BVS/Tools at www.bvstools.com/greenjab.html.
