Db2 11 for z/OS End of Support

February 27, 2018

IBM announced the end of support for DB2 11 for z/OS. The good news is you have some time: support will be withdrawn on Sept. 30, 2020, about 2 1/2 years from now. That means Db2 11 will have been supported for nearly seven years (it was announced in late 2013). That gibes with Version 10 support, which was withdrawn in September 2017 after being announced in October 2010.

Of course IBM makes these announcements far in advance to give customers ample time to migrate to the latest Db2 version. If you're planning to migrate to Db2 12 for z/OS, you have all the more reason to attend the upcoming IDUG Tech Conference. The event features sessions on Db2 12 and also provides the opportunity to network with others who've already migrated.
